How to merge multiple PDFs in the right order

Merging appends every page of each selected file in file order. It is useful for submitting a cover, main document, and supporting material as one PDF. Use Organize PDF pages when you need to omit pages or change their order within a document.

Worked example

The values below are fictional examples that illustrate the workflow.

Input and settings

cover.pdf: 1 page
main.pdf: 3 pages
File order: cover → main

Expected result

Result: a 4-page PDF
Page 1 is the cover; pages 2–4 are the main document

Steps

  1. Choose at least two files in Merge PDF.
  2. Use the file-list arrows to put the cover first.
  3. Create the file and check its total page count.
  4. Open the downloaded PDF and check the boundaries between documents and the last page.
